Job Description

The accounting supervisor is responsible for leading a team in the support of daily, weekly, monthly tasks as well as ensuring compliance with accounting processes and procedures.

Core Duties

  • Serve as a primary local point of contact for multiple audits and reviews throughout the year
  • Assist with annual SOX and local equivalent compliance work
  • Lead team in performing daily, weekly, monthly tasks
  • Work in support of SEC filings as needed
  • Perform detailed review of staff-prepared audit workpapers
  • Assist with accounting work related to acquisitions
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls and assist with audits as needed
  • Develop training documents for departmental tasks to facilitate cross training and increase ease of task transitions
  • Responsible to evaluate processes and continuously improve and lead a culture of continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting
  • Minimum 2 years’ progressive accounting experience
  • Excellent analytical, creative problem solving, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong sense of task-ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
  • Strong advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision; comfortable solving daily problems and bringing resolution without additional guidance
  • Desire to work in an evolving environment; must be willing to embrace change quickly
  • Commitment to professionalism in all interactions with customers, coworkers and management
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read and write in local language; Multi-lingual a plus
  • In office full time

Desired Qualifications

  • Management experience preferred
  • Experience with SOX compliance preferred
  • Experience with consolidated financial statements in a publicly traded company preferred
