Carrier is actively recruiting for a Finance Manager, Sales Support to join the team within the Residential HVAC business in Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking a motivated, analytical, self-starter, Manager, Sales Finance for the Residential HVAC Business to contribute to our continued legacy of financial strength.


About the Role

The successful candidate must be comfortable in a high-performing, fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to produce meaningful outcomes, with integrity and commitment to quality. This role balances leadership skills with analytical and technical skills. The role will have ownership over budgeting, monthly forecasting and closing, annual and long-range planning for the Residential sales programs we offer. This individual will support business case analysis for new contracts and program offerings and prepares and presents to senior leadership. The role oversees three financial analysts and is responsible for $200M of annual activity.


The successful candidate must embrace and drive continuous improvement to maximize the quality of financial reporting and strategic decision making. This role also requires a highly organized individual that will be responsible for providing guidance to both finance and key organizational leaders. You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to reporting accuracy and detail, and be highly adaptable to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team of 3 professionals
  • Isolating and analyzing complex sales transactions and rebates to ensure proper payment
  • Influences and directs sales/marketing teams in regards to program approval policies and drives standard work and process productivity to ensure successful support of program requests and execution
  • Assist in preparing contract analysis including sales and margin analysis, agreement summary and key items for consideration to be presented to the VP-Sales and Director of Finance/CFO
  • Support monthly forecasting and annual plan process for National Accounts business by working with NA sales team and FP&A on sales, margin and rebate forecasts
  • Compiles data and analyzes customer profitability
  • Support the review and approval of various rebates programs in place
  • Responsible for the forecast, accruals and actual reconciliation of the P&L for Residential HVAC sales
  • Maintains processes to review, document and support over 150+ individual sales program line items across 65+ customers
  • Participate in key customer meetings and agreement negotiations as required from time to time

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance role

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and HFM retrieve for Excel
  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • Previous experience with margin analysis
  • Supervisory experience and ability to lead and develop professionals
