Finance Manager | Retail

Our client, a growing retail business who are going through impressive growth now have an exciting opening for an experienced accountant who wants to step into a Finance Manager role.

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely accounts, maintenance of balance sheet and profit and loss account as well as overall compliance with internal company procedures and controls.

You will manage a team of four people mainly made up of AP & AR professionals and work closely with senior management to ensure business performance.

The Role:

• Management and further development of the finance team
• Overseeing the financial operations and responsible for key financial processes
• Manage the delivery of accounting activities including all aspects of P&L and balance sheet
• Preparation and reporting of monthly results
• Identify key risk areas and implement improvement initiatives
• Involved in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

The Person:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with 1-2 years PQE
• Previous people management experience is ideal
• Previous experience working within in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Strong organisational skills couple with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
