We are representing our client a construction and growing property developer in Malaysia. The company specializes in construction, civil engineering, and property development projects across Malaysia, delivering residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and operational excellence.

  • Location: Bandar Mahkota Cheras
  • 5 working days: Mon-Fri (8:30am-5:30pm)

Oversee the Group's reporting and consolidation function, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of corporate, Board, management, and regulatory reports. Provides analysis on financial and project performance, supports forecasting and strategic initiatives, and ensures compliance with governance requirements. Works closely with internal stakeholders to consolidate data and drive improvements in reporting processes while leading the reporting team.

Report to: Group Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities

Strategic Corporate Reporting:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reports, including Board papers, EXCO reports, management dashboards, and development updates.
  • Provide high-level analysis and insights on company performance, including profitability, cash flow, project delivery, and return on investment.
  • Ensure alignment of reports with the company's strategic objectives and project development cycle.

Project & Development Reporting:

  • Collaborate closely with Business Development and Project Managment teams to consolidate reporting on project milestones, sales performance, landbank utilization, and cost-teo-completion.
  • Monitor key metrics such as sales take-up rates, GDV realization, construction progress, and authority compliance.
  • Provide scenario analysis and performance forecasts for strategic land or project proposals.

Board, Management & Regulatory Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of Board and Audit Committee reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance reporting requirements (SSM, Bursa Malaysia, LHDN, REHDA, etc.).
  • Coordinate contributions for the company's Annual Report, corporate disclosures, and ESG reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:

  • Liaise with internal departments, external auditors, consultants, regulators, shareholders and bankers on corporate reporting and compliance matters.
  • Support Investor Relations and Corporate Communications by preparing relevant reports and data summaries.

Leadership & Reporting Governance:

  • Develop and enhance reporting templates, processes, and governance to ensure easy understanding consistency and data integrity.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise the reporting team to meet high standards of quality and timeliness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reporting efficiency and data-driven insights.
  • Any other tasks as and when required by superior and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a construction or property development industry; prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations, and group financial reporting requirements
  • Hands-on experience in Group Consolidation accounting is essential.
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership capability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to perform effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
