Job Description

Our CFO is embarking on an exciting new chapter, creating an opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join the Kinross team on a 12-month fixed-term agreement.

This full-time role that will commence in mid-late October 2026. It offers a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role within one of Central Otago's most iconic wine tourism destinations.

As Finance Manager, you'll be a trusted business partner, providing financial leadership, oversight, and strategic support across the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO and leading a team of two, you'll ensure the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and commercial analysis that supports informed decision-making throughout the business.

You’ll:

  • Be responsible for day-to-day running of our finance team.
  • Provide financial accounting services, with timely financial and management accounts and reports.
  • Lead monthly management reporting, including performance analysis and commercial insights
  • Partner with the leadership team to support decision-making and planning
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling
  • Prepare annual financial statements and manage the external audit process
  • Oversee tax compliance and payroll governance
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in systems and process optimisation

Key Qualities and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualified in Finance, Accounting and CA/CPA qualified
  • At least 5 years commercial experience, experience in tourism, hospitality, and/or wine sectors would be an advantage
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Commercial Finance or Business Partnering role
  • Have strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights
  • Experience leading and supporting teams
