This Finance Manager role is responsible for leading the Finance team supporting Paid National Media spend operations and decision support for Nestlé USA brands and businesses. The Finance Manager will help lead internal forecasting and management of National Media spend, including providing Marketing and Finance leadership with critical visibility of P&L performance and savings available for strategic reinvestment. This position includes identifying and developing process improvements to drive simplification and improve key metrics related to Media spend. The Finance Manager is also responsible for supporting Paid National Media Source to Pay processes, including ensuring a strong control environment and compliance with Nestlé policies and procedures.

In this role, the Finance Manager will also have significant contact with cross-functional business partners (incl. Marketing, Finance, and Procurement), including direct support of the Media Knowledge Center and external Media agency partners.

MEDIA BUDGET FORECASTING & CO-PILOTING

  • Lead internal operations for annual media budget creation in SAP, including collaborating with corporate and division Marketing & Finance teams to gain alignment on budget levers
  • Work with marketing teams and external Media agency operations partners to manage spend types and phasing, ensuring accurate forecasting P&L recognition
  • Lead tracking and reporting of funding shifts in Marketing budget trackers, in collaboration with PFME Finance and Marketing teams
  • Lead periodic PFME budget reviews with Media Knowledge Center of Excellence and marketing teams, identifying Risks and Opportunities to achieving annual forecast
  • Support monthly forecasting of enterprise-wide media PFME spend, ensuring alignment and communication across Marketing and Finance
  • Provide Senior Marketing & Finance leaders with enterprise reporting of internal and external Media plans, forecasts, and actual investment, focusing on spend evolution and trends by tactic and brand
  • Provide Senior Marketing & Finance leaders with enterprise reporting of media savings and material budget changes risking strategic delivery of Marketing commitments/goals
  • Deliver continuous improvement and best practices for internal & external Media teams
  • Support ad hoc special projects for Enterprise-wide media initiatives driven

MEDIA SPEND FINANCIAL CONTROL & REPORTING

  • Ensure accurate P&L reporting of media spend
  • Act as point of contact for PFME media spend audit reviews
  • Manage Financial operations with external National Media Agency partner, ensuring alignment and accuracy of reporting (incl. flowcharts, budget summaries, reporting tools – e.g., Media Tools, etc.)
  • Provide visibility and reporting on Media Source to Pay performance, escalating cross-functionally where needed to drive resolution and continuous improvement (e.g., PO creation, end-to-end turnaround time, parked/blocked invoice status and trends, etc.)

MEDIA SPEND SOURCE TO PAY SUPPORT

  • Lead Finance relationship with external Media agency operations partners, ensuring timely and accurate billing for National Paid Media spend
  • As needed, support team with Source to Pay processes (i.e., Purchase Requisition creation, invoice approval, resolution of parked and blocked invoices, etc.) for National Media services and contracts across the Nestlé USA enterprise
  • Support annual enterprise-wide media audits, including reconciliation internally and externally reported media spend

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, with preferred Accounts Payable emphasis.
  • Or 5+ years in Media-related leadership positions within Operations, Finance at Advertising Agency or Client.
  • Or 5+ years in Marketing leadership roles with experience in Media and/or Communications, with strong budget ownership responsibilities.
  • BA/BS required; Specialization in Accounting or Finance with coursework up to and including intermediate accounting, or equivalent experience preferred.

The approximate pay range for this position is $135,000 to $160,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
