As Finance Manager / Head of Finance, you will be responsible for leading and strengthening Shoparize's finance operations, governance, and reporting. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will manage a small but important finance team consisting of an Accounts Payable Specialist and a Financial Analyst (who also supports Accounts Receivable and controlling activities).
You will ensure that the finance function is accurate, scalable, and business-oriented, while maintaining strong financial discipline across the company. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys combining operational excellence with financial insight and team development.

Role

Finance Operations & Accounting

• Own the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial operations
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Safeguard the quality of the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments,
  and financial controls
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and working capital processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements across relevant entities
  and markets
• Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial
  service providers
  
  Financial Reporting & Control
• Prepare and review monthly management reporting and support the CFO with board- and investor-
  level reporting
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Build and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures
• Monitor budget adherence, cost control, and financial performance across the business
• Support the preparation of annual accounts, audits, and statutory filings
  
  Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable Specialist and Financial Analyst
• Set clear priorities, workflows, and quality standards across the finance team
• Help build a high-performing finance function that can scale with the company
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
  
  Business Partnership & Process Improvement
• Partner with the CFO and department leads to improve financial visibility and decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, automation, reporting processes, and internal controls
• Support the implementation and optimisation of finance tools, workflows, and dashboards
• Contribute to process design for scalable international growth and operational excellence
  
  Requirements
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, audit, or controlling
• At least 2–4 years of experience in a senior finance role within a fast-paced scale-up, e-commerce,
  tech, or digital business
• Strong knowledge of accounting, reporting, cash management, and internal controls
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team
• Hands-on mentality with the ability to switch between strategy and execution
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
  
  Nice to Have
• Experience in multi-entity or international environments
• Background in scale-ups, online platforms, marketplace, or performance marketing businesses
• Experience with financial systems implementation or process automation
• Exposure to fundraising, investor reporting, or due diligence processes
