
Finance Manager – Francophone Cluster
Location: Lomé, Togo (with regional travel)
Shape the financial backbone of a growing African logistics network. We’re working with a globally established shipping and logistics group to appoint a senior Finance Manager – Francophone Cluster, based in Lomé, with responsibility for Togo, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Cameroon
This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in complex, multi-country environments. You’ll sit at the heart of the regional leadership team, driving financial strategy, strengthening governance, and supporting organisational uplift across several Francophone markets.
Lead the financial strategy for the Francophone cluster, aligning local performance with long-term regional and global objectives
Act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership on business planning, investment decisions, and financial performance
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management across multiple countries
Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks in line with IFRS and local regulations
Take direct responsibility for finance leadership in Togo, while providing regional functional oversight
Support organisational uplift in Benin and Côte d’Ivoire, improving processes, capability, and financial discipline
Drive finance transformation initiatives, systems improvements, and standardisation
Engage with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and regulators across the region
Build, coach, and develop diverse finance teams, creating a strong pipeline of local talent
Travel approximately 20–30% across the region to support operations and leadership teams
10+ years’ experience in finance or accounting, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
Mandatory experience within a shipping line or closely related logistics environment
Strong background in Francophone Africa (experience across multiple countries is highly valued)
Professional qualification (CA or equivalent)
Deep knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, principal/agency accounting, tax, and transfer pricing
Fluent in French, with at least working proficiency in English
Proven ability to set up new processes, lead finance transformation, and improve systems
Confident managing senior stakeholders, including overseas headquarters, with the ability to manage upwards
A people-focused leader who can coach, develop, and elevate teams
Play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of a major logistics player in Africa
Take on a visible regional leadership role with genuine influence
