Would you like to shape how international companies run their finance in Turkey, and help build a consultancy from the ground up?

Basico is a consultancy founded in Denmark, advising some of Denmark's largest companies as well as fast-growing international businesses across finance, tax, HR & payroll and finance IT. Today we operate in Denmark, Turkey and Portugal, with many more countries to come in the near future.

We recently established Basico Turkey, and we are now looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join us as one of our first permanent team members.

Your role

As Finance Manager in CFO Services, you will lead client engagements, advise finance leaders and make sure our deliveries in Turkey meet Basico's high standards. Your work will be a mix of ongoing client support and project-based assignments, often on-site at client premises, and you will play a key role in growing our CFO Services practice in Turkey.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading client engagements from start to finish, from scoping and planning to delivery and handover
• Overseeing month-end and year-end closing, financial statements and group reporting under TR GAAP and IFRS/US GAAP
• Bridging local statutory books and group reporting, including reconciliations and GAAP adjustments
• Taking on interim and project-based roles at clients, e.g. interim CFO or finance manager support, finance function set-up, process improvement or system changes
• Coordinating and reviewing the work of our associates to ensure quality and consistency
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development in Turkey

Your background and qualifications

We would like you to have:

• 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting or audit
• A Big 4 audit background, followed by experience in a finance function (a strong plus)
• Solid knowledge of TR GAAP (VUK / TFRS), combined with IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting
• Experience with group reporting for international companies or their Turkish subsidiaries
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and strong Excel skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to take ownership
• Fluency in Turkish and English
• Knowledge of Turkish tax and/or an SMMM licence (a plus)
