Role Purpose:
The Finance Manager - Bermuda Finance Operations will play a critical role supporting the Chief Financial Operating Officer and Group Senior Manager in the operationalization of the Bermuda Finance Operations function for Prudential’s Bermuda entity. This role coordinates the Bermuda Finance Operations team to deliver key elements of the finance operating model in close partnership with external service providers. Responsibilities include the implementation and ongoing management of robust financial systems, processes, internal controls, treasury operations and outsourced back-office support. The role holder will collaborate closely with internal teams, external advisors, and stakeholders to maintain strong governance, ensure regulatory compliance.
Organisation Context:
Prudential is establishing a Bermuda entity with two distinct licenses that serve complementary but separate business functions: 1) Reinsurance license – primarily for central risk management, inward reinsurance, capital and liquidity optimisation, and 2) Direct insurance license – primarily for high net worth (HNW) business.
We are seeking an experienced finance operations professional to join the Bermuda operations team as Finance Manager - Bermuda Finance Operations. The role holder will report directly to the Chief Financial Operating Officer, Prudential Bermuda, and work closely with the Group Senior Manager and Group stakeholders to run efficient Finance Operations processes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance operational processes and systems, with familiarity in the Prudential Group and Bermuda regulatory environment.
Key Accountabilities
Facilitate the ongoing delivery of Finance Operations and Treasury Operations activities. For Finance Operations, coordinate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. For Treasury Operations, manage cash positions, execute payments, and maintain compliance with internal governance standards.
Assist with the finance system implementations with vendors (e.g., Strategic Coupa, Oracle) and support optimisation of configurations. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to mitigate risks during phase-out and phase-in transitions while building team knowledge for future-state operations.
Support the establishment, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of Finance Operations governance frameworks, including controls, reconciliations, and compliance processes, while fostering collaboration with internal and external parties.
Performance measures
Maintain efficient, accurate, and timely finance and treasury operations, including on-time completion of all deliverables, error-free payment processing, and zero audit findings or exceptions.
Demonstrated effective coordination and support across implementation phases; zero major escalations from stakeholders; high-quality, up-to-date process documentation and knowledge transfer.
Robust governance environment leading to 100% audit readiness, sustained strong control environment, and consistently positive feedback on collaboration and operational excellence from internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Specifications:
At least 5 years of experience in Finance, preferably in insurance / banking.
Strong expertise in cross-functional collaboration, including working with internal teams (e.g., Group and LBUs) and external partners (e.g., auditors, consultants).
Proven track record in working on Finance Operations with strong communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA or similar) are advantageous but not required.
Experience with finance processes and collaboration tools (e.g., Oracle, Coupa, Smartstream) is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
