Act as the main financial advisor to Directors and senior management, providing analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making
Develop financial models, business cases, and investment appraisals for new initiatives, and support Directors in evaluating new markets, entities, partnerships, and acquisitions
Produce management reports, KPIs, and dashboards, presenting recommendations clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Analyse profitability across business units, customers, projects, and service lines, and identify opportunities to improve performance, pricing, and margins
Monitor financial and operational trends and partner with operational managers to build financial awareness and accountability across the group
Review operating expenditure, supplier contracts, and procurement arrangements
Collaborate with external tax advisors to identify tax efficiencies, incentives, grants, and credits
Support cashflow management and working capital optimisation
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, including rolling forecasts, cashflow projections, and variance analysis
Oversee management accounts, statutory reporting, indirect tax submissions, and compliance across all group entities and jurisdictions
Maintain financial controls, policies, and governance standards across the group, accounting for local statutory requirements
Liaise with auditors, banks, tax, accounting, payroll, and legal advisors, as well as regulators, to ensure compliance across all group entities
Drive finance process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements, ensuring systems remain scalable as the group grows
Provide leadership and oversight to the Senior Finance Executive and support the development of the finance function
Education, Skills & Experience
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred but not essential; holding a Malta Accountancy Board warrant is a plus
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Fluency in English and Maltese at a native level both written and spoken
Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering experience
Strong understanding of corporate finance, taxation, cross-border VAT regulations, and financial reporting requirements
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience supporting multiple entities or jurisdictions, group reporting, IFRS-based financial reporting, and finance systems or automation projects is an advantage
