About the role:

As a Channel Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial performance, planning, and decision-making for a cluster of customers. Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll help deliver insight, drive value, and ensure strong financial governance across the customer(s).

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and is ready to undertake a very visible, business-facing finance role. You’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, confident in your analysis, and proactive in building relationships across the business.

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll act as a finance business partner to the Account Managers and Account Directors for the relevant customer cluster. Your focus will be on helping the team to continuously improve performance, make better decisions and stay on track financially.

  • Provide clear, actionable insight into the customer(s) performance to the Account Directors and their teams, including analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Raise the bar on financial awareness across the customer team through clear, periodic reporting and storytelling.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early and work with cross-functional partners to mitigate or unlock them. Lead for a ‘no surprises’ culture.
  • Provide transparency & recommendations regarding balance sheet risks & opportunities.
  • Support the rolling forecast and budget process, helping to build robust, deliverable plans with clear assumptions and clear risks and opportunities identified.
  • Protect the business by ensuring a high level of financial governance and control across all trade investment and capital.
  • Constructively challenge customer business partners to help deliver the best short and long-term outcomes for Carlsberg Britvic.
  • Champion an ROI improvement culture for all customer investments (promotion spend, customer terms, trade spend, pricing decisions, capital investment)
  • Identify value creation opportunities through margin, SKU and spend optimisation
  • Support the evaluation of terms proposals for your customer(s) and post reviews of investment to identify learnings to improve effectiveness and returns from future investments.
  • Spot opportunities to improve processes and drive value, working with the wider team to make them happen
  • Support the Senior Finance Managers in the team on integration activities
  • Ensure Channel finance processes are clear, documented, and understood by everyone who needs to use them.
  • Bring challenge and insight to forecasting and budgeting, helping shape plans that are both ambitious and grounded.
  • Champion a governance culture to ensure the adherence to process and investment approval.
  • Role model Carlsberg Britvic’s values in everything you do.
  • Help build the financial capability of the Off Trade Channel Finance team—coaching, supporting, and sharing your expertise.
  • Support the development of others in the wider finance team by offering feedback and sharing knowledge.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and cover for the Senior Finance Manager, or Finance Business Partner when needed

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Strong analytical thinking—you’re confident working with numbers and can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight for non-finance colleagues.
  • A proactive, can-do mindset with the drive to make things happen and see things through.
  • Solid commercial awareness and a strategic mindset—you understand the bigger picture and how finance fits into it.
  • The ability to build strong relationships, engage and influence across different teams and levels.
  • A natural problem-solver who’s comfortable with ambiguity and can find pragmatic solutions to complex challenges.

The Carlsberg Group was established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen. J.C. Jacobsen was a true renaissance man. A believer in quality, research and serving the community, he shared his knowledge with fellow brewers. He looked to the future, prizing long-term growth over short-term gain.

Today, Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world, with a large portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. Our beer portfolio spans core beer brands, including local power brands and international premium brands, craft & speciality brands and alcohol-free brews.

Our brands are enjoyed in more than 150 markets across Western Europe, Asia and Central & Eastern Europe, and we hold a number 1 or 2 position in more than 20 markets.

We strive to brew better beers, today and tomorrow. Doing business responsibly and sustainably supports that purpose – and drives the efforts to deliver value for both our shareholders and the society.
