Finance Manager

We are looking to hire a Finance Manager to oversee treasury and cash flow, drive improvement in accounting processes and systems, including identifying AI and automation opportunities, and to support long-term financial planning and audit. You will also develop the wider accounting and finance team.

Location: Hybrid in Ta' Xbiex, Malta.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain and oversee the treasury function and cash flow management, including key banking relationships, payment projections and settlement oversight with external parties and intercompany counterparties, in full alignment with the wider Group.
• Oversee capitalisation accounting. Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely treatment in line with Group policy and accounting standards.
• Supervise OPEX operations. Ensure invoice postings and settlements are carried out by the team in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Own the review procedures. Ensure reviews are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
• Drive process and systems improvement. Assist in developing and implementing new accounting techniques and systems, or refining existing methods and procedures.
• Contribute to AI and automation initiatives. Be a key contributor in identifying AI opportunities, maintaining control over efficiency and automation projects across the team.
• Support long-term financial planning. Assist in planning and organising long-term financial goals, ensuring they are followed and monitored on a regular basis.
• Develop the team. Set targets, coach, motivate and supervise the accounting and finance team to support their personal development.
• Prepare timely, detailed reports on financial performance monthly, quarterly and annually, including financial statements and annual reports.
• Oversee audit processes. Manage all audit-related procedures, including audit requests, auditor communication and financial statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting. Assist in preparing and reviewing the budget and reforecasting work, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Qualified Accountant (Master in Accountancy or ACCA-qualified)
• 3+ years of experience in Senior Accounting
• Previous experience in a similar finance leadership role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and reporting
• Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience within the gaming industry or a similar business would be considered an asset
