We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a 14-month fixed term Parental Leave contract, commencing in October 2026.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for managing key financial compliance and operational functions across the business. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and taxation requirements, and contributing to a high performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and mentoring members of the team
  • Managing financial accounting, including reporting, reconciliations and compliance activities
  • Overseeing payroll and associated compliance and reporting obligations
  • Supporting Financial Controller with accounts payable, corporate cards and accounts receivable functions, as required
  • Maintaining strong financial controls, systems and processes in line with Umwelt requirements
  • Preparing and reviewing tax obligations and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting audits and providing financial advice to senior leaders
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation requirements
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance professionals
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with previous experience using Employment Hero considered highly desirable
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
