Finance Manager | Shape the Numbers Behind Australia’s Leading Macadamia Farm Management Organisation | Bundaberg Region, Queensland
Ready for a finance role that sits at the heart of a dynamic, growing business rather than on the sidelines?
At Macadamia Farm Management (MFM) you will do meaningful work in a versatile macadamia business, with supportive teams and managers.
You get:
We expect reliable contribution through a positive and can-do attitude, whilst building the skills and knowledge of the team around you.
The Opportunity
As Finance Manager you will direct the accounting and financial operations for MFM and its associated entities. You’ll ensure rigorous quality control over every transaction and report while delivering strategic financial counsel to the leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real commercial impact. You’ll oversee banking and cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, loan administration, month-end and year-end processes, external audits, asset and insurance management, payroll systems, and key client and stakeholder relationships. You’ll also lead and develop the finance and administration team — coaching, mentoring and building capability so the department consistently delivers on time and to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and have regular engagement with Directors, General Managers, operational leaders and external partners including banks, auditors and a variety clients.
Why this role (and company) stands out
Most finance roles keep you distant from the business. Here you sit at the heart of a growing, innovative agricultural enterprise that manages thousands of hectares of macadamia orchards. Your work directly supports the people who care for the trees, the clients who invest in them, and the practical innovations that keep MFM at the front of the industry.
Locals value the chance to grow their career with a respected regional employer without relocating. Out-of-town candidates are drawn to the lifestyle shift: coastal Queensland living, less traffic, open space, and a genuine sense of community — while still doing high-calibre professional work with clear progression pathways.

Since our beginning in the late 1980s, in response to an increasing demand for specialist, high-quality farm management services in the Macadamia industry, we have grown to become the industry leader in all aspects of cultivating Macadamias.
Today, we manage over 3 000 hectares and provide whole-farm management services to a variety of different clients, ranging from first-time to established local and international investors, family-operated farms, and global conglomerates who trust us to develop new orchards and to rejuvenate deteriorated ones to ensure consistent, above-average yields of exceptional quality.
We have also been able to form joint ventures with a variety of role players in the Macadamia industry that specialise in all aspects of the growth and the production of Macadamias, ranging from machinery - and asset-holding companies, to state-of-the-art sorting facilities.
Our continued investment towards our employees’ education and skills development makes us a multi-award-winning company that continues to be a pioneer in the industry, especially when it comes to technological inventions and research. Our experts participate in industry events, such as the annual Macadamia Symposium and other platforms that allow them to share their knowledge and inventions with the industry.
Aiming towards our goal to align commercial agriculture with nature, we implement a range of regenerative and sustainable practices, that range from restoring the natural habitats surrounding our orchards to biological pest – and weed control, improving soil health by increasing organic matter and carbon levels to improve microbial activity, and improving soil structure and water retention capacity, through planting a variety of cover crops. Through these practices, we have been able to restore several deteriorated orchards to ensure longevity and continued quality yields.
Macadamia Farm Management is synonymous with growth - whether we grow trees, ourselves, or our community!
