Job Description

Role: Finance Manager

Location: Warrington, WA1 4RZ

Hours: 37.5hpw, 08:00-16:00 Monday to Friday

Salary: between £60,000 and £75,000 pa DOE

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to support accurate reporting, clear financial insight and well-managed finance processes across the operation. This is a key role for someone who enjoys working closely with others, improving ways of working and helping teams make well-informed decisions.
You’ll lead the accounting function, ensuring management accounts, statutory reporting, forecasts and budgets are delivered accurately and on time. You’ll also help maintain strong controls and make sure financial information is clear, reliable and useful for the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading month-end close and preparing accurate management accounts, reports, forecasts and budgets
  • Sharing clear financial insight with department heads to support planning, performance reviews and decision making
  • Managing working capital, including cash, stock, debtors and creditors
  • Supporting improvements following the Microsoft Dynamics 365 go-live, helping to stabilise and improve processes
  • Acting as a finance partner to operational teams, helping them understand performance and identify practical improvements
  • Maintaining control accounts, fixed asset records, financial controls and accounting systems
  • Supporting audit activity, tax packs, VAT analysis and group reporting
  • Reviewing supplier set-up, payment authorisations and sales and purchase ledger activity
  • Supporting, developing and guiding the finance team, including objectives, training, absence and holiday processes
What we’re looking for
  • A qualified accountant, such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365, or a similar finance system, in a production environment
  • Experience supporting or managing a team
  • Confidence using data to create reports, dashboards and useful insight, including Power BI
  • A structured, analytical approach with good attention to detail
  • A practical, proactive style and the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Willingness to travel across the UK when needed
