Foodfolk | Perth Airport | Full-time | $120,000–$140,000 (pro rata)

The Opportunity

Foodfolk is investing in its finance function and we're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to
lead the team. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll own the day-to-day operation of our finance function, build a high-performing team and drive real improvement in how we work. You'll have the autonomy to make it your own, with direct access to the CFO and genuine scope to shape the future of finance at Foodfolk.

This is a full-time role, however we're open to flexible arrangements including reduced hours, hybrid
working and school-friendly hours for the right candidate.

About Foodfolk

We're a family-owned Australian inflight catering and retail services business with over 25 years supplying airlines into Perth Airport. We're fast-moving, operationally focused and proud of the culture we've built — collaborative, practical and always looking to do things better.

What You'll Do

You'll lead a small, capable finance team across management and financial accounting, with
responsibility for:

  • Month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting and cash flow
  • Australian tax and compliance including GST, BAS, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and super
  • Financial controls, governance and audit management
  • AP automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Team leadership, development, and performance management
  • Financial insight and reporting to the CFO and Executive team

What We're Looking For

You're technically strong, practically minded and enjoy developing people and improving systems. You can see what needs fixing, prioritise it and get it done.

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years in finance; we'll also consider a Senior Financial Accountant ready to step into management
  • Solid Australian tax compliance experience including GST, BAS, PAYG and FBT
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and external audits
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial compliance obligations
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Strong ERP and advanced Excel capability
  • Ability to provide commercial and strategic financial advice to senior leaders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence business decisions

Desirable

  • CPA or CA qualification preferred but not essential; we'll back the right person
  • Experience in aviation, food production, manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics
  • Continuous improvement experience or certification such as Lean or Six Sigma

Why Choose Foodfolk?

Our people are the core of our operation. We value our staff and work as a close-knit team. We offer:

  • Free onsite parking at Perth Airport
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Ongoing leadership development and career progression opportunities
  • The chance to make a real impact within a growing Australian business
  • Full-time role with flexibility considered; hybrid working and school-friendly hours available for the right person
  • Competitive remuneration of $120,000–$140,000 (pro rata) depending on experience
