StaffBuffalo is working with a well-established healthcare organization to hire a Finance Manager. This is a hands-on financial leadership role overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of a multi-practice healthcare organization. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who understands the unique challenges of healthcare environments, enjoys partnering with leadership, and can translate financial data into meaningful business insights.

The Finance Manager will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, cash management, month-end close activities, and financial analysis while working closely with executive leadership, external accounting partners, billing teams, and operational stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for identifying financial trends, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations that support organizational performance and long-term growth.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Williamsville, offering a collaborative office environment, strong work-life balance, and flexibility within a standard Monday through Friday schedule. The organization values transparency, teamwork, professional development, and long-term employee success.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and financial controls across multiple healthcare practice locations
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and coordinate with external accounting partners as needed
  • Manage account reconciliations, banking activity, accounts payable oversight, invoicing, cash receipts, and financial accuracy
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop budgets, analyze variances, track organizational performance, and communicate financial results and recommendations
  • Collaborate with billing and operational leaders to understand reimbursement activity, revenue trends, productivity metrics, and healthcare-specific financial drivers
  • Support and mentor accounting team members while maintaining strong internal controls and process consistency
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports for leadership meetings, helping stakeholders make informed business decisions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting, finance, or financial management experience
  • Healthcare finance experience required, preferably within a physician practice, medical group, healthcare services organization, or hospital environment
  • Strong experience with budgeting, financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, variance analysis, and cash management
  • Ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000-$110,000 based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Strong work-life balance with a flexible Monday through Friday schedule
  • Supportive, collaborative, and business-casual office environment
  • Professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • Direct exposure to executive leadership and organizational decision-making
  • Long-term career growth opportunity within a stable healthcare organization
