Purpose

This role is responsible for leading the Accounting and Controlling function across Clinisys entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls.

The Finance Manager works closely with the Finance Director and leads a team of 6 finance professionals, driving performance, developing talent, and ensuring consistent execution of finance processes across all entities.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage Accounting activities and oversee revenue recognition processes

  • Prepare and publish timely and accurate monthly financial statements

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting

Planning & Analysis

  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

  • Analyse and report variances vs budget/forecast

  • Develop standard reporting packages and provide ad hoc reporting

  • Deliver insights to support business and management decisions

Compliance & Governance

  • Research and implement technical accounting guidance

  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP and regulatory requirements

  • Manage statutory reporting, tax filings, and audit requirements

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls framework

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Develop and document finance processes and accounting policies

  • Drive continuous improvement of financial operations

  • Support and contribute to the roll-out and optimization of NetSuite ERP

  • Ensure consistency and standardization across entities

People Management & Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 6 finance professionals

  • Set clear objectives and monitor performance through regular follow-up

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance and accountable team culture

  • Ensure proper workload distribution and resource planning within the team

  • Support career development, training and succession planning

  • Act as escalation point for complex accounting and operational issues

Business Support & Leadership

  • Act as key financial partner to business stakeholders

  • Work closely with the Finance Director on strategic initiatives

  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making at management level

  • Perform additional controlling duties as required

Skills Needed to be Successful

  • Strong accounting knowledge and solid financial expertise

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and software (ERP – NetSuite is a plus)

  • Proven organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to translate financial data into business insights

People Management Skills

  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams

  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities

  • Ability to motivate, engage and retain talent

  • Experience in managing performance and driving accountability

  • Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills

Experience & Education

  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Proven experience in a finance / controlling function, including team leadership

  • Experience in an international and multi-entity environment preferred

  • Experience in ERP systems and process standardization

  • Fluency in both Dutch and English

  • Background in software or healthcare sector is a plus

Onboarding
As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend / travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
