Join our Wickes Finance Team at GXO, as Finance Manager supporting the Design & Installations (D&I) Transport operation. This is a high-profile, established role where you’ll take ownership of financial performance, partner with operations, and play a key part in driving business growth within the Wickes portfolio.

This is more than just a Finance Manager role—you’ll be at the heart of the operation, working closely with operational leaders, influencing decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control across P&L and balance sheet. From leading budgets and forecasts to delivering insightful reporting and financial analysis, you’ll help shape performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity with contracted hours of 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 to 17:00).

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Take full ownership of P&L and balance sheet, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and contractual commitments
• Deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, including budgets, KPIs, and performance insights
• Partner with operational and customer stakeholders to drive profitability, cost control, and commercial performance
• Lead financial modelling, project costing, and continuous improvement initiatives to support decision-making and business growth
• Build and develop a high-performing finance team, while strengthening processes, reporting models, and cross-functional collaboration

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Fully or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with essential transport/logistics experience and strong customer-facing relationship skills
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with expertise in financial reporting (weekly/monthly P&L), budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Confident in challenging performance, driving cost control, continuous improvement, and influencing operational decision-making
• Advanced IT and systems capability, including Excel
• High levels of attention to detail, integrity, and resilience, with a proactive, “can-do” approach and ability to deliver under pressure while maintaining compliance and financial control
