As Head of Finance at Airprotech, part of the Munters Group, you will act as the strategic financial partner to the Business Unit and a key member of the local Management Team. You will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, business controlling, treasury, tax, risk management, and payroll.

You will lead the local Finance team, drive continuous process improvements, and ensure full compliance with Italian regulations and Munters’ global policies, while supporting business growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Business Control

• Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment across Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Procurement.
• Monitor and analyse structural costs, job margins, hourly rates, personnel costs, and incentive schemes.
• Analyse Operating Working Capital (OWC) and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance and cash conversion.
• Ensure alignment of local accounting practices with IFRS standards in accordance with the Munters Financial Manual.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Own and manage the Treasury function, ensuring effective cash flow and liquidity management.
• Analyse, forecast, and optimise Operating Working Capital (OWC), driving initiatives to improve related KPIs.
• Prepare and monitor both short-term liquidity and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Implement and strengthen cash management processes, regularly sharing cash performance with the management team and coaching stakeholders on liquidity impact.
• Act as the main point of contact for banking relationships, including transactions and guarantees, and liaise with Munters Group Treasury.
• Support the development of mid- to long-term investment plans and ensure alignment with cash flow projections.

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure timely preparation and submission of all tax obligations in compliance with local regulations.
• Manage relationships with tax advisors, auditors, legal consultants, and Munters Group Tax team.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including transfer pricing.
• Provide guidance on international taxation, transfer pricing, and EU VAT matters.

Other Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly payroll in coordination with external providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support and drive cost control and efficiency initiatives across the organization.
• Provide regular and insightful financial reporting to the General Manager and leadership team.
• Manage ad-hoc projects and topics with external advisors (e.g. auditors, consultants, legal firms).
• Lead, coach, and develop the local Finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Promote continuous improvement, digitalisation, and adherence to Munters Financial Manual and corporate policies.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, and business controlling, preferably in an international environment.
• Proven experience in treasury, budgeting, forecasting, payroll management, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP and local financial regulations; knowledge of IFRS is considered a strong plus.
• Solid experience with audits, risk management, and treasury operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems; experience with Zucchetti, IF, and/or AARO is a plus, as well as involvement in system implementations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and influence teams.
• Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
