Slough Borough Council is the local authority for the Borough of Slough, in the South East England Region of the United Kingdom.
Our population of around 155,000 is young, growing and dynamic. We have the most diverse community in the country outside of London, which has welcomed communities from across the country and across the world for decades.
Slough is an economic success story; we have more corporate headquarters in our town than the whole of Scotland, Wales and Northern Island put together and a thriving economy.
In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Glassdoor named Slough as the best place to work in the UK; a rating based on hiring opportunities, the cost of living and employee satisfaction.
Slough is changing and the pace of change has never been faster. A joint venture between the council and Morgan Sindall Investments, Slough Urban Renewal, is ploughing investment into housing, civic buildings, leisure and schools.
We are investing more than £50million in new and refurbished leisure facilities across the borough including a new leisure centre and family activity centre, completely rebuilt Ice Arena and refurbished Langley Leisure Centre.
It's location, location, location here in Slough. With main line rail into London Paddington in just 15 minutes, easy access to the M4, M40 and M25, Heathrow on our doorstep and Crossrail, Slough is best place for business, living and leisure.
