Part of WSA group, Oorwerk is a young and dynamic company with 35 stores, primarily located in the Randstad region. Oorwerk’s mission is to help as many people with hearing loss as possible to achieve better hearing.
As Financial Manager, you will proactively advise and collaborate with Oorwerk’s General Manager and management team to help shape the strategic direction of the organization. You are capable of designing new financial reports, optimizing existing ones, and leveraging them for effective decision-making. Additionally, you will play an active role in acquisition processes and the opening of new stores, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO of WS Audiology Benelux B.V.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) based at our service office in The Hague. Initially, the assignment will be for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
• Design new financial reports, optimize existing ones, and leverage them for effective decision-making
• Play an active role in acquisition processes and the opening of new stores, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, closing cycles, year-end processes, and prepare annual financial statements
• Serve as a member of the Management Team, proactively informing and guiding the organization using BI reporting
• Report progress on strategy and business objectives to WSA together with the General Manager
• Act as the primary contact for auditors, tax authorities, and the shared service centre in the Philippines, ensuring complete and timely reporting to stakeholders
• Lead and coach the Finance team (3 employees), as well as Facilities (1 employee) and IT (1 employee)
• Oversee all administrative and controlling activities, identify process bottlenecks, propose improvements, and implement actions to maintain control through efficient processes and risk management.
• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or other related fields
• 5–10 years of experience as a Financial Controller and/ or Business Controller, with significant operational accounting responsibilities and proven end-to-end financial accountability
• A strong financial and analytical foundation, combined with experience in M&A projects
• Knowledge of financial systems (Exact, Power BI, and Lucanet).
