The role is full-time and based in our Melbourne Office This is an opportunity for a motivated finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, influencing outcomes, developing people, and driving continuous improvement across a dynamic business environment.About the RoleAs Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting and business insights while leading a small finance and administration team.Key responsibilities include:Partnering with Operations and Contract Managers to support business performance and decision-making.Leading month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes.Providing detailed financial analysis, commentary and performance insights to management.Monitoring contract profitability, cost control, revenue performance and working capital.Managing project financial reporting, including forecasts, cash flow and margin analysis.Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and financial policies.Leading and developing finance and administration team members.Driving process improvements, reporting efficiencies and commercial outcomes.Supporting financial evaluations, business modelling and risk assessments across projects and contracts.About YouYou are a proactive and commercially focused finance professional who can translate financial data into meaningful business insights and influence stakeholders at all levels.To be successful, you will bring:Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.Extensive experience in senior finance, commercial or business partnering roles.Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting capability.Experience supporting operational, project-based or contract-driven businesses.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Demonstrated leadership experience, including team development and coaching.A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.Why Join Us?Influence strategic business decisions and operational outcomes.Work closely with senior leaders across finance and operations.Lead and develop a high-performing team.Be part of a business committed to continuous improvement, innovation and operational excellence.Access opportunities for professional development and career growth.Apply NowIf you're an experienced finance leader looking to combine commercial expertise, operational partnership and people leadership in a challenging and rewarding role, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and help drive business performance through financial excellence.
