Finance Lead

In this Finance Lead role, you will help strengthen financial planning, reporting, controls, and business partnering so the organization can operate with clarity and discipline.

You will lead core finance activities across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and analysis. The role is suited to someone who can combine strong technical accounting knowledge with practical business partnering and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency with GAAP and internal reporting requirements.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities, and provide clear analysis to support business decisions.
  • Maintain the general ledger, accounts receivable, and project accounting activities as needed.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and performance metrics for finance and business leaders.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, SOX-related activities, and responses to regulatory or policy changes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility, strengthen controls, and support business goals.
  • Use financial analysis and modeling to evaluate opportunities, risks, and business performance.
  • Help develop finance processes and practices that improve efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
  • If applicable, guide and support team members to ensure consistent delivery and strong service to internal stakeholders.

  • Work with ERP data, reporting files, and standard finance processes to keep information clean, current, and actionable.
  • Communicate complex financial topics clearly so stakeholders can understand the story behind the numbers.
  • Balance speed and precision, especially during close, reporting, audit, and planning cycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit support, and compliance practices.
  • Ability to prepare and review financial statements and management reporting with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with GAAP and, where applicable, SOX requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across functions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP and HFM.
  • Background in cost accounting, project accounting, or accounts receivable.
  • Exposure to financial modeling, cash management, or treasury activities.
  • Experience supporting business partnering in an operational or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
