Finance Lead
About the role:
The Finance Lead is a hands-on role combining ownership of core financial processes, including month-end and reporting, with responsibility for delivering key financial initiatives across the group.
The role balances BAU accountability with project delivery, ensuring that financial operations run effectively today while also driving improvements in how financeoperates
This position requires someone comfortable working in a dynamic environment who can take ownership of both day-to-day financial outputs and change initiatives, from scoping through to execution and embedding sustainable improvements.
Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver financial projects end-to-end, including scoping, planning, execution, and embedding outcomes into the business
Drive improvements to financial processes, ensuring greater efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the group
Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to successfully implement change
Maintain and strengthen financial controls, ensuring issues areidentified, resolved, and processes are well documented
Influence and align stakeholders without formal line management responsibility
Take a hands-on approach to delivery, building, fixing, and implementing solutions directly where needed
Apply strong financial insight to projects, ensuring a clear understanding of how financialoutputs aregenerated
Own and oversee month-endensuring accuracy, timeliness, and control
Balance BAU delivery with project work,maintaininghigh-quality financial outputs while driving change
Enhance month-end and reporting processes, improving efficiency and robustness
Hands-on, project-based finance role focused on delivering financial projects across the group and improving how finance works, rather than owning a fixed BAU remit.
Responsible and accountable for project delivery end to end: scoping, execution and embedding the change.
Drives improvement of financial processes across the group.
Works closely with multiple areas of the business (and across finance) without a direct team, delivering through influence and collaboration rather than managing people.
Requires strong fundamental finance knowledge and solid month-end experience, sothere'sa real understanding of how the numbers come together.

Genuinely happy to roll up their sleeves - build, fix and deliver the work personally, not just oversee it.
Skills and Experience:
Strong grounding in core finance principles, with solid financial reporting experience
Proven experience delivering finance or businesschangeprojects
Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes, systems, or controls
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels
Self-sufficient, delivery-focused, and comfortable working without direct team management
Willingness to take ownership and adopt a hands-on, “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach
