Job Description


Our client is a unique fashion brand seeking a Finance Lead.

Our ideal candidate will be well-versed in business finance and management. Below are the job duties, skills, and qualifications needed

JOB DUTIES

  • Manage controllable expenses and supplies within approved budgets to achieve profitability targets.


  • Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to track departmental expenditure and sales targets.


  • Create and distribute invoices accurately and on time.


  • Develop quarterly financial strategic plans in alignment with company goals.


  • Provide and interpret financial information for managerial staff while recommending appropriate courses of action.


  • Advise on investment activities and recommend strategic actions.


  • Maintain the financial health of the organization.


  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and actual performance against business plans.


  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations (e.g., payroll, invoicing, and other transactions).


  • Support project analysis, validation of business plans, and handle ad-hoc financial requests.


  • Manage financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.


  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.


  • Develop trends and financial projections.


  • Conduct reviews and evaluations to identify cost-reduction opportunities.


  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to develop and implement effective inventory management strategies.


  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.


  • Analyze inventory turnover rates and optimize stock levels to meet demand without overstocking.


  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss, theft, and obsolescence.


  • Conduct regular inventory audits and promptly reconcile discrepancies.


  • Meet regularly with senior management to report on strategic plans and team objectives.


  • Act as a stand-in for senior management when required.


  • Coordinate the statutory audit of financial statements and ensure timely filing with FIRS and other regulatory authorities.


  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by monitoring legislative changes, enforcing adherence, and advising management accordingly.


  • Contribute to establishing strong internal controls over financial reporting and business operations.


  • Participate in business process reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Support automation and digital transformation projects within the company.


  • Assist in the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards/policies and the preparation of financial statements.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles (IFRS or GAAP).


  • Proven management experience.


  • Strong accounting and analytical skills.


  • High level of honesty and integrity.


  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.


  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


  • Hands-on experience with Odoo for accounting and finance functions.


  • Experience in configuring and customizing Odoo Accounting module (version 14 or higher).


  • Familiarity with Odoo modules such as Invoicing, Inventory, Sales, and Purchasing.


  • Experience in Odoo data migration, reporting, and dashboard creation.


PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Familiarity with E-Commerce platforms, especially Shopify.


  • Knowledge of B2B operations, including wholesale, dropshipping, and consignment models.


  • Interest or experience in the clothing retail sector (preferably women’s wear).


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in a management role.


  • At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience using Odoo ERP or similar software.
