Introduction

The Treasury department at ASML manages global cash flows, funding activities, financial risks, and related compliance processes. Working from Veldhoven, you will join an international team that supports ASML’s business through accurate financial management and continuous improvement initiatives. In this internship, you will contribute to optimizing treasury processes, improving reporting quality, and supporting automation opportunities. Your work will help create efficient and reliable financial processes with direct business impact. Your assignment

As part of the Treasury team, you will contribute to a variety of activities related to cash management, reporting, risk management, and process improvement. You will work closely with experienced professionals while taking ownership of meaningful deliverables. A strong focus of this internship is identifying and implementing process automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reporting quality.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Support treasury activities related to cash management, financial reporting, risk management, and compliance.
• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
• Prepare the monthly treasury management report for finance and treasury stakeholders.
• Contribute to treasury projects and manage assigned deliverables from start to completion.
• Maintain and improve process documentation and work instructions.
• Monitor data quality and reporting accuracy across treasury activities.
• Collaborate with team members to support operational and strategic treasury initiatives.

This is a end bachelor/master internship for minimum 8 months, minimum 5 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of end of November 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

• Are pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in finance, business economics, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Have an interest in treasury, financial risk management, reporting, and process improvement.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Are proactive and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Have experience with data analysis or reporting tools such as Power BI or similar solutions.
• Enjoy working collaboratively in an international environment.

This internship is ideal for students who want to gain practical experience in treasury operations while contributing to meaningful business improvements. During this Finance | Business Economics internship, you will work alongside experienced professionals, build your financial knowledge, and develop skills that will support your future career.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship, and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship;
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement);
• You attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your application shows the willingness to relocate.
