As a Finance intern within ICS FIN, you will gain hands-on exposure to internal controls, risk assessment and finance processes in an international private banking environment. You will support the implementation of the ICS FIN rotation plan, coordinate with international locations, help respond to day-to-day queries, and contribute to reports and documentation used by senior management and committees. This internship offers a practical opportunity to build your understanding of Finance control frameworks while working closely with experienced colleagues across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
ICS FIN rotation plan and control testing
Support the implementation of the ICS FIN rotation plan and learn how Finance controls are organised, tested and monitored.
Help plan and schedule control testing activities across Finance areas.
Track completed, ongoing and upcoming activities, and prepare clear summaries for the team.
International coordination and support desk
Coordinate with international locations and local Finance teams involved in executing ICS FIN controls.
Collect documentation, information and status updates, and follow up on open points.
Act as a first point of contact for routine ICS FIN questions related to processes, tools and documentation.
Guide users using existing procedures and escalate more complex topics when needed.
Reporting, risk assessment and documentation
Contribute to regular and ad hoc ICS FIN reports for senior management and committees.
Help prepare clear reporting material on control execution, findings and remediation status.
Support the annual ICS FIN Risk and Control Self-Assessment process.
Help coordinate timelines, participants, documentation requirements and stakeholder input.
Maintain ICS FIN documents, including control descriptions, procedures, guidelines and templates.
Suggest practical improvements to simplify processes, guidance documents and data quality.
Learning, collaboration and ad hoc support
Learn about internal controls, risk assessment, Finance processes and the role of ICS FIN within the Finance function.
Gain practical experience with tools used to document and monitor Finance controls.
Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit.
Support ad hoc activities such as data checks, file organisation, presentations and simple analyses.
Provide organisational support to the ICS FIN team and gain insight into the day-to-day work of a Finance control function.
Who we are looking for
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related field.
Curious and analytical, with the ability to structure information and draw clear insights.
Comfortable using office tools, especially spreadsheets and presentations, and eager to strengthen these skills in a Finance environment.
Clear communicator, both in writing and verbally, with the confidence to interact with different stakeholders.
Collaborative and open-minded, with an interest in working across Finance, IT and control-related functions.
Reliable, organised and attentive to detail, with a willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Proactive, motivated and eager to learn in a hands-on, project-driven environment.
Very good command of English and French, both written and spoken.
