Areas of Opportunity

Depending on business needs and your area of study, you may have the opportunity to gain experience in one or more of the following areas:

Business Support Assistant

As a Business Support Assistant, you will help the team with a range of administrative and organisational tasks that support the day-to-day running of the business. You will work with colleagues across different teams, learn new skills, and gain experience in a professional office environment.

You will receive training and support to help you succeed in the role.

Specific duties may vary depending on business needs and development opportunities.

You will support the team by helping with activities such as:

  • Assisting with new starter inductions and helping employees settle into the organisation.
  • Helping to organise and set up team events and activities.
  • Sharing updates on events at monthly manager meetings.
  • Carrying out office facility audits and reporting any issues.
  • Keeping the site calendar up to date with events and visitor information.
  • Taking notes at meetings and tracking attendance.
  • Tracking attendance for onsite training sessions.
  • Learning how to use SharePoint and helping keep team sites organised and updated.
  • Creating and posting a weekly diary of activities on internal communication channels.
  • Providing general administrative support and assisting with other tasks as needed.
