These tasks are creating delays for the team during critical closing activities and reconciliations. The intern will play a vital role in alleviating this workload, ensuring timely and accurate completion of these tasks, while contributing to overall process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring and Managing Business Requests in PeopleSoft and SAP:

- Review and address incoming business requests related to project creation, updates, and closures.

- Open new projects, enter budgets, modify existing projects, and ensure proper closure of completed projects.

- Provide support and guidance to business stakeholders to ensure requests are processed efficiently and accurately.

2. Asset Creation and Management:

- Create and maintain asset records in PeopleSoft and SAP, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

- Capitalize expenses or investment orders, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with financial reporting requirements.

- Print and mail physical asset tags to U.S. plants, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.

3. Process Optimization and Reporting:

- Identify opportunities for streamlining project and asset creation processes, reducing processing time by 70% , and increasing efficiency.

- Document workflows and provide recommendations for process improvements to minimize bottlenecks.

- Generate progress reports and updates on backlog reduction efforts to keep stakeholders informed.

Required Qualifications:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Basic knowledge of enterprise systems (PeopleSoft, SAP) is a plus, but on-the-job training will be provided.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Impact of the Internship:

This internship plays a crucial role in supporting the team’s ability to meet deadlines, reduce backlog, and improve operational efficiency. The intern’s contributions will enhance the department's ability to focus on high-value activities, such as financial reconciliations and closing processes, while ensuring timely creation and management of projects and assets.

We look forward to welcoming an intern who is ready to learn, contribute, and grow in a supportive and collaborative environment.
