Ready to accelerate your Finance career? Join one of the UK's biggest retailers and gain hands-on finance experience while studying towards a professional CIMA accountancy qualification.
Our 3-year Finance Graduate role is functionally led, so you’ll develop deep expertise while rotating through a range of specialisms – including Controllership, Commercial Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Specialist Finance teams such as Tax Treasury and Investor Relations. Through a series of structured placements, you’ll build your technical knowledge, commercial awareness and leadership capability, taking on significant responsibility as your career progresses.
At the same time, you’ll study towards your CIMA accounting qualification with Kaplan Financial, working towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant while applying your learning in a real business environment from day one.
We are a values-led organisation. As such, we encourage everyone to be open and honest. We work creatively and collaboratively, valuing everyone’s input. Our collaborative culture, the size of our business and our belief in the empowerment of the individual means opportunities at Asda are abundant. With annual sales of £26bn and websites that handle over 2 million transactions a month, we are a business with over 130,000 dedicated Asda colleagues ensuring that our customers are at the heart of everything we do.
To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
You will also get an excellent benefits package including:
We want all colleagues to be able to bring their best and true selves to work, every day. Simply put, we want our colleagues to be Proud to be Asda and proud to be themselves.
Plus much more!
Finance plays a critical role in every decision we make at Asda. Whether that's helping us invest in growth, understanding customer behaviour, improving performance, or ensuring strong financial control, our teams are at the heart of the business.
Throughout the role, you'll gain exposure to a variety of areas, including:
You'll also get to know our stores, depots and supply chain, giving you a first-hand understanding of our customers, colleagues, and operations, and helping you see how finance decisions impact our business every day.

Alongside valuable on-the-job experience, you'll receive dedicated study time, access to senior mentors and buddies, structured development opportunities, and support throughout your CIMA qualification journey.
We'll challenge you, invest in you, and give you the confidence, skills, and experience needed to progress into future leadership opportunities within Finance and beyond.
With Finance at the centre of Asda's ‘Formula for Growth’, there's never been a more exciting time to join. We’ve recently completed our technology separation from our previous owner Walmart, investing in new systems, processes, and ways of working that will shape the future of the business and create opportunities for talented graduates to make a real impact.
We're looking for ambitious, curious individuals who are excited by business, motivated by learning and eager to make a difference.
Your degree discipline doesn’t matter to us. Whether you’ve studied Finance, Economics, History, Engineering, Languages or anything else, you’ll receive full technical finance training as part of your CIMA qualification, so no prior accounting knowledge or experience is needed. What matters most is your curiosity, your commercial mindset and your motivation to build a career in Finance.
