Job Description

Role Main Purpose:

Overseeing FCT’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and resource management and allocation. The role involves supporting financial planning and budgeting, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring proper reporting and control measures. Additionally, it focuses on identifying, addressing and reporting on any financial discrepancies or risks.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and follow-up on: (1) payment of salaries and (2) legal cases and claims
  • Support the clubs in the development of a 2-year monthly budget Support clubs in the preparation of a monthly cash flow forecast covering one season
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders (SPL/MOS bodies) for status update
  • Collaborate with stakeholders
  • Detect and report violations
  • Coordinate meetings with clubs to assess their financial position
  • Obtain latest list of financial liabilities to be reflected in the budget
  • Manage the FCT player acquisition and approvals process during transfer
  • Lead the Central Team – PMO and Stakeholder Management
  • Supervise and hold the pen on all deliverables for different stakeholders

Performance Indicators:

  • Timely reporting on payment and legal case update (no later than 1 week)
  • % of deviation between the forecasted and actual financial performance (budget vs. actual expenses) for the 2-year monthly budget and one-season cash flow forecast (to be determined according to new guidelines in new financial regulations)
  • Time taken to detect and report financial violations, and the number of violations successfully addressed within set guidelines
  • Average time to complete player acquisition approvals, and the percentage of approvals completed without delays during the transfer window.
  • Timely reporting to different stakeholders, while ensuring reporting packages are comprehensive, concise and completeness

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Professional certification in accounting and/or finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrable expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership skills and devotion to develop teammates
  • Demonstrable ability to work on multiple works streams
  • Strong technical knowledge in managing large data sets
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
