Job Description

Togather are the team at the heart of great events.

We’re a founder-led company of 50+ event specialists working across some of the largest and most exciting events in the UK.

Our Marketplace supports both B2B and B2C customers to handpick standout suppliers across street food, drink and venues for private events, from large-scale summer and Christmas parties to regular office lunches for clients including Spotify, Netflix & BBC.

Live partners with organisers of large-scale public events, using our 360 tech and industry expertise to curate and deliver exceptional food and drink experiences that also drive commercial results for our clients. From major festivals, stadium fanzones and cultural celebrations, we work hand in hand with client teams to deliver exceptional guest experience for the likes of GALA festival, Rock Oyster, Hill Dickinson Stadium and Pride in London.

Internally, we’re proud to have been recognised by Tempo and the Startups 100 Awards as one of the UK’s best places to work. We care deeply about building an ambitious, supportive and high-performing team.

We started life 10 years ago as Feast It, a two-person marketplace launched from a kitchen table - and today, over 10 million guests a year attend a Togather-powered event. Across every project, our mission remains the same:

To make events better for everyone.

The Role:

We are at the point where finance needs to grow up with the business. We run across three engines: a Marketplace at CM2 profitability, a high-growth Live business including a major Live Nation profit-share partnership, and proprietary supply we own and operate, including Field Vision Bars, which we acquired this year. Serious money moves through us now. We are building towards full-year profitability and real exit optionality over the next 18 months or so. We want a finance leader who can take us there.

This is the most senior finance seat in the business. You will own the full group profit-and-loss and the financial strategy that sits behind it. Our finance function has grown function-by-function rather than by design, and your job is to bring it together and raise the bar, across two businesses, a major partnership and the path to a possible sale.

You will run a clean, timely close and build the kind of financial infrastructure an acquirer expects to see. But this is not just a controls job. You will own working capital strategy across our different revenue cycles, shape capital and treasury decisions, partner with the commercial leaders on margin and pricing, and be the person who turns our numbers into a story for the board and a future process. We will bring in a finance assistant underneath you so the transactional work is off your desk and your time goes where it matters.

You will report to the founders and sit on the leadership team. How far this goes is genuinely up to you.

You will

  • Own the group P&L across Live, Marketplace and Field Vision Bars, with consistent event-level margin visibility
  • Run a clean, timely month-end close and build exit-grade, board-ready reporting by default
  • Own working capital strategy: factoring, facilities and payment-terms across our seasonal, multi-entity cash cycles
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting and the single source of truth for targets
  • Prepare the business for audit, due diligence and a possible future process
  • Partner commercially with the founders and leadership on pricing, margin and big decisions
  • Build and shape the finance team beneath you, starting with a finance assistant to own the transactional desk
  • Hold our advisors and tooling to account, and build a systems-first, AI-native function

Requirements

You are:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), most likely with an audit or practice background early on
  • An experienced finance leader: FC stepping up to FD, an existing FD, or a Head of Finance ready for full ownership
  • Genuinely commercial. You turn numbers into a recommendation, not just a report
  • Strong technically: clean close, working capital, cash flow, controls
  • Comfortable as the most senior finance person in the room, holding the bar with advisors, the team and the board
  • Energised by a fast-paced, high-growth business where the function is still being built
  • Systems-first and keen to use automation and AI to build something modern

Lovely to have:

  • Experience taking a business through an acquisition, sale or fundraise (either side of the table)
  • Events, hospitality or another seasonal, high-volume, complex business
  • Multi-entity or group accounting: intra-group recharges, consolidation
  • Profit-share or partnership accounting

About Togather

Togather started life in 2017 as Feast It, a platform for people to book street food caterers for their birthday parties and weddings. Since then, we have become the UK’s leading event booking platform, offering access to a curated community of suppliers spanning food, drink, photographers, venues, and so much more. We have also grown from a company of 2 twenty-somethings in a flatshare to a team of over 70 dedicated and passionate event experts who, together with our algorithm-led technology, are on hand to match ideas and visions with the best people to bring them to life.

In short, we remove the stress from event planning, allowing our customers to bring their visions to life and give their guests and colleagues memories they will never forget. In 2023, Feast It rebranded with a brand new name and look, one that better fits who we are and where we’re going: Togather.
