Deal Desk Manager, APAC

We are looking for a Deal Desk Manager to be our first Deal Desk hire in APAC, joining our global Revenue and Finance Operations team. In this role you will be the primary point of contact for Sales and Customer Success teams across Australia, Singapore, and the broader APAC region, supporting deal structuring, contract negotiations, and quoting processes. You will need to operate with a high degree of autonomy, applying sound business judgment to protect the company from undue risk and financial exposure while still finding solutions that work for our customers.

As Deal Desk Manager for APAC, you will own the end-to-end deal support function for the region. You will be a trusted commercial partner to Sales and Customer Success, helping navigate non-standard deal structures, pricing exceptions, and contract terms while maintaining compliance with internal policies and revenue recognition standards. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that directly influences revenue, cash flow, and the customer experience.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Regional Deal Support: Serve as the primary Deal Desk resource for APAC Sales and Customer Success teams, reviewing and advising on non-standard pricing, discounting, and contract terms across a range of deal sizes and complexities.
  • Business Judgment & Risk Management: Evaluate deal structures and approval requests with an eye toward protecting company revenue, margin, and compliance — while remaining commercially minded and customer-focused.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations stakeholders globally to align on deal structures, escalate appropriately, and drive deals to close.
  • Process & Policy Ownership: Implement and uphold scalable quoting and contracting processes for the region; identify gaps and propose improvements as the business grows.
  • Compliance & Revenue Recognition: Ensure all deal structures adhere to internal standards, ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Training & Enablement: Provide guidance and training to the APAC Sales and CS teams on quoting, contracting workflows, and Deal Desk policies so they are well-equipped to move deals forward efficiently.
  • Systems & Reporting: Leverage CRM, CPQ, and CLM tools to manage deal workflows and produce regular reporting on deal metrics, trends, and regional performance.

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or commercial operations experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company. Prior experience supporting an APAC market is a strong plus.
  • Autonomous Operator: Comfortable being the first and sole Deal Desk resource in a region; able to prioritize independently, make sound judgment calls, and escalate effectively when needed.
  • Contract & Commercial Acumen: Familiarity with software contract terms, MSA structures, and the ability to review and negotiate standard commercial language. Experience with SaaS pricing models as expected.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and data-driven approach to problem-solving; able to build and review financial models and ad-hoc reports to support deal decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and confident communicator, able to explain commercial positions and policy guidance to Sales, Legal, and Finance stakeholders — and occasionally up to executive level.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience working in CRM, CPQ, and CLM systems (Salesforce experience preferred). Ability to generate and analyze deal-level reports.
  • Revenue Recognition Knowledge: Working familiarity with ASC 606 and how deal structure impacts revenue recognition.
