The Finance Innovation & Transformation (FIT) organization is part of eBay’s Finance team and is dedicated to elevating Finance by aligning technology, process, data, and strategy Our mission is to drive a culture of operational excellence and unlock industry-leading innovation across the Finance organization.
FIT partners closely with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Technology teams to modernize planning capabilities, improve data clarity, and enable smarter, faster decision-making at scale.
We are seeking a Finance Data & Reporting Systems Manager to lead and scale reporting for eBay Finance, unifying core Finance data, modernizing reporting capabilities, enabling self-service insights, and embedding AI throughout the reporting lifecycle.
This role combines program leadership, technical enablement, and change management, with accountability for delivering consistent, trusted reporting, improving time-to-insight, and reducing manual reporting effort. The role includes ownership and improvement of our internally developed reporting applications, and orchestration of cross-functional delivery across various reporting and data platforms like BigQuery (GBQ), Tableau, and Hadoop.
Partner with stakeholders to lead requirements, discovery, design, and user story development within agile frameworks.
Drive improvements and integrations for reporting applications and connectivity across data and reporting tools (BigQuery, Tableau, Tellius, SAP S/4HANA, Hadoop).
Help develop and implement the vision, roadmap, and critical metrics for finance reporting modernization.
Partner with engineering on scalable data pipelines, access governance, and guide semantic model design to ensure KPI consistency across tools.
Leverage usage analytics, surveys, and data insights to advise product decisions and prioritize improvements.
Develop enablement, communications, and training programs to drive adoption and self-service analytics.
Ensure role-based access controls, audit readiness, data security and reporting quality controls
Lead and develop an individual contributor(s) to deliver high-quality curated datasets on schedule with automated reconciliation and accuracy controls, in order to further enhance the reporting landscape for Finance
Define operating rhythms, measure adoption, and reduce manual reporting through automation and standardization.
MA/MS in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in finance transformation, analytics, product/program management, or related roles.
Hands-on experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
Proven ability to translate business priorities into roadmaps and deliver cross-functional programs with measurable impact and executive visibility.
Background in finance data governance, critical metric standardization, data quality, and scalable process building (including access controls and compliance).
Solid understanding of financial planning and reporting cycles, and controllership requirements.
Excellent executive communication skills (clear narratives, RAID tracking, steering committee materials).
Proficiency in SQL for analysis/reconciliation and Excel/Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups) strongly preferred
Experience with AI tools (Glean, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) strongly preferred
2+ years of people management or experience leading and mentoring.
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$118,800 - $198,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
