Job Description

We know that people want great value combined with an excellent experience from a bank they can trust, so we launched our digital bank, Chase UK, to revolutionize mobile banking with seamless journeys. We're already trusted by millions in the US and we're quickly catching up in the UK – but how we do things here is a little different. We're building the bank of the future from scratch, channeling our start-up mentality every step of the way – meaning you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

As a Finance Data Domain Architect Associate within our International Consumer Bank team, you will work closely with platform users and analysts to understand data requirements and functional needs. You will have the opportunity to partner with data engineers to design and implement industry-leading data architecture, test new data models, maintain high-quality documentation, and lead in the development of data pipelines. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a collaborative, cross-functional, agile team environment.

Our International Consumer Bank team is at the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. We're looking for people who have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. By their nature, our people are also solution-oriented, commercially savvy and have a head for fintech. We work in tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects – and depending on your strengths and interests, you'll have the opportunity to move between them.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with platform users and analysts to understand data requirements and functional needs
  • Partner with data engineers to design and implement industry leading data architecture to support a highly scalable, reliable and performant platform
  • Testing new data models and enhancements to ensure they meet end user requirements and expected results
  • Maintain high quality technical and end user documentation to support the data models underpinning our platform solutions
  • Implement, own and execute controls including data validation rules and reconciliations as part of our runbook
  • Lead in the development of data pipelines, ad-hoc data analysis and BI solutions to support external financial reporting

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related domains
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in data analytics, change management or a data driven finance function
  • Detail and control oriented with a good understanding of finance and accounting concepts, ideally a finance domain background
  • Experience as a data architect, business analyst or as an end user driving data platform innovation
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams as well as independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven SQL coding, ETL pipeline or data warehousing experience
  • Ability to translate problem statements into practical solutions and technical requirements
  • Self-starter and highly self-motivated
  • A passion for applying best practices and driving innovation

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Retail banking domain experience is advantageous
  • Ability to deliver large scale or ‘big data’ platform solutions
  • Working as part of multi-location team
