Job Description

The Tech & Data department (~200 employees across the globe) provides products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide. Its 2 key challenges today are to successfully implement its new Target Operating Model (TOM), to be supported by an ambitious pluri-annual internalization plan to deliver innovative products and services to its clients.

The Tech & Data organization is an Agile matricial organization relying on 4 pillars:

  • Data and System Engineering, made of the following teams : Data Center of Excellence, Products and Systems Engineering and Enterprise Architecture
  • Management & Control (M&C) & Corporate Systems, made of teams supporting Crews and Transversal Functional Domains: Governance, T&D Operating Model Implementation, Security & Compliance, Financial Control, Sourcing & Vendor Management, Governance, and Processes
  • Technical, made of teams dedicated to IT Operations, Network, Cloud, Workplace & Cloud Productivity Services
  • Crews and Transversal Functional Domains

Crews are supported by Chapters (System Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, …) and both Technical and M&C-C teams are fully dedicated to the delivery of SCOR products, services and support.

This position is attached to the Financial Production crew which scope covers today 10 business products, from cashflows consolidation to financial consolidation, and 2 technical products dedicated to integration. From a technical point of view the activity of these products is supported by solutions mainly build around 2 platforms: the DIP (for Data Integration Platform) based on IBM IAS technology and a SAP Hana platform.

The Finance Crew Test Lead is accountable of the testing strategy definition, standardization and application across the Finance squads by.

  • Define testing best practices including tooling, KPIs and report.

  • Define testing strategies and testing planification.

  • Promote the testing automation.

Best practices & Monitoring:

  • Define / update testing strategy
  • Define test categories
  • Define criteria to include features in test campaigns integration test, E2E test….
  • Continuously improve testing processes.
  • Providing guidance and support to other team members regarding testing best practices.
  • Coordination of test reporting and coordination of test status with central release management
  • Provide test metrics to Financial Production management and teams holding further improvements and next steps
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress and quality of testing activities.
  • Improve our automated testing suites

Planification:

  • Participation in the planning concerning our Financial Production products evolutions.
  • Advising and supporting our specialist departments in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of acceptance test.
  • Define a test coverage roadmap and corresponding roll-out to our Financial Production products
  • Participate/Collaborate with Financial Production teams to understand current requirements and implementation work to leverage on tailor made test case creation
  • Participating in iteration planning to estimate the effort required for testing activities.
  • Collaborating with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to resolve any testing-related issues.

Facilitation:

  • Prepare and facilitate workshops with different teams and stakeholders including management

  • Collaborating with the Agile teams to understand user stories and their acceptance criteria.
  • Assist that user stories are testable and well-understood before implementation begins.

Experience:

  • +5 years of experience of testing experience.
  • Experience in heterogeneous system landscapes with complex release processes and in working with internationally distributed team.
  • Agile test manager with experience in test automation.

  • Accountability - alerts, raises the critical points when needed, shoulders and corrects his/her decisions and shows responsibility regarding cost management
  • Reliability - checks his/her work, challenges the solution before submitting it on time and identifies/corrects the mistakes if needed
  • Open Mindedness - is interested in projects and business activities beyond his/her direct responsibility within the IT / technical scope

Technical skills:

  • Strong System Testing skills to develop, automate testing processes and then improve team and system efficiency
  • Strong Test Management skills including deep knowledge of a test management platform (e.g. ADO Test Plan, JIRA)
  • Exhibit good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and other digital applications
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluent in English (written, spoken)

Required Education

  • ISTQB® certificated or similar

  • BA/MD technical degree in information services management, computer science, applied mathematics or related fields, or equivalent work experience
