About the role:

The FPCRA Finance Controlling Principal for Haleon Trading Services is responsible for:

All Finance Planning, Controllership, Reporting and Analysis for Haleon Trading Services (HTS) entities (trading entities which principally cover the procurement, supply, import and export of products for intercompany and 3rd party cross border transactions).

The is an end‑to‑end finance owner role which is accountable for the full spectrum from planning and forecasting through to controllership, reporting, and performance analytics. The Finance Control Principal will provide a single point of accountability for financial integrity and performance insight ensuring robust governance, controls and high-quality decision support by demonstrating controllership and forward-looking mindset.

The role will report to the HTS FPCRA and CI&D Director and is responsible for the accuracy & completeness of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for all legal entities - with responsibility for actuals (management reporting & statutory accounts), forecasting and planning activities and for operating a sound control environment.

Key Responsibilities :

End‑to‑End Financial Ownership

  • Drive end‑to‑end finance cycle for HTS Legal Entities, from forecasting and planning to actuals reporting and performance analysis

  • Ensure financial results, outlooks, and narratives are accurate, consistent, and timely

  • Act as the single point of accountability for integrity and accuracy of Financials

Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Lead all planning, forecasting, and update cycles for HTS entities

Controllership, Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure robust financial controls, stewardship, and compliance across the Cluster/Market

  • Oversee statutory and management reporting, ensuring adherence to IFRS, Haleon policies, and local regulations

  • Take a proactive stance on compliance

  • Act as escalation point for financial risks, control issues, and judgment‑based decisions

Driving on-going process continuous improvement

  • Drive the development and management of continuous improvement strategies for HTS FRCRA, contributing to the broader finance function’s strategic direction.

Business partnering & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop a deep knowledge of business fundamentals, including the economic, commercial and regulatory environment, with attention to customer and competitor dynamics.

  • Partner with HTS Leadership team to drive strategic and operational decisions

  • Engage with Group Control, Consolidation, External Reporting, Group FP&A, Tax and Treasury

  • Represent HTS in global finance forums if required

Leading People :

Organisation & Capability Leadership

  • Lead and develop HTS FPCRA team

  • Provide clear direction, role clarity and performance expectations

  • Build a strong controllership and insight‑driven finance culture

  • Continuously developing people, self and supporting others

Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of SAP or working in SAP environment

  • Experienced finance professional with Trading Partner, Supply Chain Finance or Logistics capabilities

  • Solid understanding of Intercompany Trade principles, including Transfer Price

  • Solid understanding of financial & logistic processes associated with cross border trade (VAT & Incoterms)

  • Strong project management experience

  • Sound understanding of process simplification and standardisation and proven experience in global process roll-out

  • Self-motivated and display of initiative

  • Disciplined, robust organisation skills, ability to plan & manage workload

  • Ability to engage and motivate with positive energy

  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences

  • Ability to think strategically at an operating model level as well as at a detailed process specific level. Ability to stay ‘close to the ground’ to understand the ‘real’ end-user experience and perspective

  • Exercise a high level of independent judgement and execution, anticipation, interpreting and resolving of complex opportunities.

  • Ability to operate across a wide variety of levels within the organization, between detailed hands-on operators within the business units through to senior executives

  • Influence across the organisation, ensuring effective inter-finance team working to deliver results that balance business strategy while acting as gatekeeper for the financials

Education and experience:

  • Fully qualified ACA / CA / ACCA / CIMA (internationally recognized)

  • 12+ years of financial management experience

  • Strong team management experience (15+ members)

  • Proven Finance Controller experience

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Extensive global / corporate financial reporting experience in large organizations

  • Experience managing enterprise-level financial processes and systems

  • Strong understanding of risk, controls, compliance, and SOX

  • Demonstrated process improvement and project management capabilities

  • Excellent communication across all organizational levels

  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence and challenge

  • Experience in cross-functional, matrix environments

  • Strong team-building and leadership skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or FMCG industry

  • Proficiency in SAP, including S/4HANA

  • Agile and resilient; comfortable with constant change

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing priorities

  • Strong strategic mindset; able to see the bigger picture
