Finance Controller – Real Estate Industry (QuickBooks Essential)

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to take ownership of the financial function within a dynamic real estate environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity setting and is confident working with property portfolios, operational teams, and senior stakeholders.

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all core accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple real estate entities and property operations.

A strong proficiency in QuickBooks is essential, as you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, streamlining accounting processes, and ensuring data integrity across the system. Experience using QuickBooks for reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis is highly valued.

Key responsibilities include preparing monthly management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis reports; supporting audits; implementing and maintaining financial controls; and working closely with property managers and operational teams to ensure financial accuracy and transparency across all assets.

You will also play a key role in improving financial processes, identifying efficiencies, and supporting strategic decision-making through clear and insightful financial reporting.

Requirements:

  Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar senior finance role
• 
  Strong experience in the real estate industry (property, developments, or portfolio management preferred)
• 
  Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
• 
  Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
• 
  Experience managing multi-entity or multi-property environments
• 
  Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• 
  Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
