What you'll be doing:

In this role, you will support Avon’s Record to Report and Procure to Pay activities, ensuring accurate and timely general accounting in line with both corporate and statutory requirements. You’ll manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks, including bank and cash management, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Working closely with regional and global finance teams, you’ll help ensure high‑quality monthly close and reporting, while continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency, accuracy, and ways of working. You’ll operate in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where attention to detail and ownership are key.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities.
• Maintaining accurate accounting records in line with corporate and statutory standards.
• Preparing and posting journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing bank accounts, daily cash positions, interbank transfers, and cashflow reporting.
• Handling corporate and credit card processes, including statements and accounting entries.
• Reconciling bank data with internal systems and investigating variances.
• Preparing financial commentaries, reports, and analysis for controlling and FP&A teams.
• Collaborating with CoE colleagues, GBS, controllers, tax, and internal controls teams.
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen controls.

What we're looking for:

• At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a multinational environment.
• A diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting, along with a professional accounting qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset with strong learning agility and curiosity.
• Comfort working in a multicultural, collaborative environment.
