The Finance Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support, assistance in day-to-day operations and other tasks assigned within the finance function.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
◦ Provide administrative support in various finance and accounting tasks.
◦ Assist in processes relating to day-to-day finance & accounting operations
◦ Assist with general accounting duties including entries in accounting system, as and when required
◦ Assist in maintaining accounting records and filing
◦ Support in compiling reports and preparing spreadsheets of financial data
◦ Participate in projects as and when needed
◦ Assist receiving and coding vendors invoices
◦ Assist in preparation of funders claims
◦ Pick up mail from the mailbox, sort and deliver to the respective team members
◦ Mail out vendors cheques/direct deposit notifications
◦ Perform other administrative duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
◦ Preference will be given to those students studying in finance field.
◦ Post-secondary education in accounting & finance would be an asset
◦ 1 - 2 years experience working in an office environment particularly in accounting & finance would be an asset
◦ Be Canadian Citizen, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;
◦ Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
◦ Possess solid administrative skills and have a demonstrated ability in the use of MS Office, web browsing, and online research tools
◦ Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
◦ Knowledge and experience in conducting finance research and analysis
◦ Ability to work in a team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
◦ Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving skills
Hourly rate: $ 17.60
