Purpose of the Job: As a Credit Controller for the South West Europe cluster (based in Barcelona), you will be responsible for managing the credit and collections activities across assigned customers and countries, ensuring timely cash collection, effective credit-risk management and accurate accounts receivable balances. You will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance Business Partners and customers to resolve outstanding balances, prevent overdue debt and support the business in achieving its cash-flow and working-capital objectives. The role has a dual stakeholder structure, with functional reporting to the Divisional Head – Credit Management Europe and close collaboration with the South West Cluster Finance Business Partner.Major Responsibilities: Credit Insurance: Working closely with Credit Insurance & Credit advice service providers to ensure adequate Credit limits are assigned for customers to achieve business growth. Manage the operational daily credit management processes, including order blocking, discretionary credit limit reviews, internal credit limit proposals and new customers credit limit analysis. Responsible of Credit Master Data.Credit & Overdue Management: Oversee timely customer collections and efficient credit management to ensure lower DSO levels & meet monthly targets.Cash Collection Activities: Open item management, direct debit processing and issue resolution (invoice or credit notes related), dunning activities and verification of cash application.Commercial Policy Compliance: Responsible of customer rebates management, customer master data control and analysis and support on any other compliance topic related to commercial Finance. Reporting: Prepare or review of reports such as Overdue Receivable, Cash Collection, Ageing analysis, customer exposure and credit limits.Project Support: support various business initiatives and improvement projectsRequirements: 3-4 years relevant work experienceGraduation degree in business management or business controllingFinancial analysis capabilities & Good business acumenWorking knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools e.g. Power BI or similarInternational mind-set and ability to work with people for different cultural backgroundTeam player - being able to work with multiple colleagues from many departmentsCommunication & advisory skills - ability to precisely summarize on key topicsFluent in English and French (mandatory), any other European language is a plusWhy join us?
