As part of our team, ALH Hotels operates a vibrant national fleet of 347 hotels. We are looking for a Finance Business Partner – ALH Marketing & Loyalty to be a key strategic finance partner for our ALH Marketing & Loyalty teams. In this dynamic role, you will elevate financial hygiene, optimise marketing spend, and maximise returns across our digital, localised, and loyalty initiatives; including our exciting Pub+ ecosystem (encompassing 1-to-1 marketing, footy tipping, and digital user engagement touchpoints).

Partnering closely with Group Marketing, you will ensure a unified, data-driven narrative is presented directly to the GM of ALH Marketing & Loyalty.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

  • Financial Management & Hygiene: Maintain end-to-end ownership of financial processes, variance analysis, annual budgeting, forecasting, and investment oversight for marketing.
  • Commercial Capability Building: Partner deeply with marketing leads to elevate their commercial acumen, establishing robust practices that maximize spend efficiency and ROI.
  • Campaign Analytics & Performance: Design and implement tracking mechanisms for the Local Area Marketing (LAM) Team to monitor regional spend against local commercial returns. Lead rigorous Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and determine Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
  • Loyalty & Customer Insights: Champion our loyalty program as one of our most vital data assets. Navigate high-volume redemption data to interpret customer behaviors, driving strategies that increase visit frequency and basket size.
  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate seamlessly with the Group Marketing team to present a unified, cohesive front and deliver executive-ready performance reporting to the GM and CCO.

Qualifications

We are looking for a curious, authentic, and pragmatic professional who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments.

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant finance experience with a CA or CPA qualification
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite).
  • Commercial acumen with strong presentation skills and the ability to translate complex spend and customer data into meaningful, executive-ready actions.
  • A resilient, innovative, and customer-centric approach to decision-making, with excellent time management skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience within the Retail, FMCG, or Hospitality/Drinks sectors.
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams in a disrupted or rapidly evolving digital environment.
  • A passion for ongoing continuous improvement and process excellence.
