Job Description

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority based in East Midlands, are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role within their finance operations.

Position: Finance Business Partner

Rate: £24.14 per hour (Umbrella) - Negotiable

Contract Duration: Temp (Jan 2027) Possible Extension

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Purpose:

  • To deliver financial accounting and drive performance improvements through effective financial monitoring, advice and support by partnering with services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce month end financial monitoring and lead services in undertaking regular and timely review and challenge.
  • Support and advise strategic and operational decision-making, driving commercial opportunities and better business performance.
  • Undertake specific duties as part of the production of the annual statement of accounts.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority - Essential.
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years post qualification experience within a financial environment or substantial relevant demonstrable experience in finance.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
