We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join us and be responsible for the financial oversight and challenge on technology spend.
This is a permanent position, hybrid working, coming into our Burton office 2 days a week.
What you will be doing -
• Ownership of Capex reporting and improving reporting clarity
• Monitor capital spend vs budgets and highlight risks
• Lead ROI, NPV, IRR and payback analysis for investments
• Support Capex prioritisation and capital rationing
• Ensure correct application of accounting standards (IAS 16 / IAS 38)
• Distinguish between Opex and Capex using cost and activity analysis
• Partner with project managers on financial control of projects
• Track post-investment benefits and value realisation
• Strong financial modelling and business partnering experience
• Experience in Capex reporting and investment appraisal
• Strong understanding of accounting standards for project costs
• Ability to distinguish Opex vs Capex
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
What You’ll Bring
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering
Advanced financial modelling and data analysis capabilities
A natural ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
Excellent communication skills—able to bring numbers to life
Strong attention to detail with a commercial, analytical mindset
Experience working with tools like Power BI, Dynamics 365 or Adaptive (a plus)
