Job Description

Shape the financial future of our Oceania operations. As a trusted partner to business leaders, you'll turn complex data into clear strategic insights, drive smarter resource allocation, and play a pivotal role in ensuring our growth plans deliver lasting impact for patients across Australia and New Zealand.

Your new role

As Finance Business Partner, you'll be the financial compass guiding critical business decisions across our Australian and New Zealand operations. Working at the intersection of finance and strategy, you'll monitor performance, challenge assumptions, and ensure every dollar invested drives maximum value for patients.

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate the Anchor Budget and Rolling Estimate processes, ensuring efficient input collection and timely submissions that reflect the latest business thinking on risks and opportunities

- Monitor and analyse total Oceania financial performance, proactively proposing corrective actions to keep us on track to meet ambitious targets

- Partner with Commercial Excellence and Business Unit stakeholders to analyse market dynamics, sales channel performance, and stock levels – translating complex data into actionable insights

- Drive an ROI mindset across the organization through compelling business cases, ad-hoc analysis, and strategic resource allocation recommendations

- Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP BW, Excel, and digital BI tools, championing process improvements and advancing our digital capabilities

- Validate pricing inputs and ensure system submissions are accurate, complete, and account for all funding arrangements

- Collaborate across functions with finance teams in APAC, budget owners, and commercial stakeholders to align financial planning with business strategy

Your new department

In Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, we enable Novo Nordisk to fulfil our purpose by safeguarding the business, providing corporate infrastructure, and driving value creation. We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.

Within the Oceania finance team, you'll be part of a dynamic group supporting one of our fastest-growing regions. Working closely with the Senior Business Finance Manager and collaborating with stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region, you'll help shape financial strategy for a business that serves millions of patients. Your insights will directly influence how we invest in bringing life-changing treatments to market.

Your skills & qualifications

We're seeking a strategic finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment and can translate financial data into compelling business stories. You'll bring:

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, plus CPA qualification or equivalent

- At least 10 years of experience in financial analysis, with demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to partner effectively across functions

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capabilities to transform complex datasets into clear insights

- Experience with SAP BW and FI modules (or similar enterprise systems) and enthusiasm for leveraging digital BI tools

- The ability to challenge respectfully, build trusted partnerships with business leaders, and influence decisions through data-driven storytelling

- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, matrixed environment
