Job Description

Join a team where your analytical thinking and strategic mindset directly influence the direction of one of the most dynamic areas in investment banking. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, strategy, and business management — partnering with senior leaders to shape decisions that drive growth. You'll gain unparalleled exposure to Mergers and Acquisitions leadership while building skills that accelerate your career. If you thrive on turning complex data into actionable insights and want to make a measurable impact, this role is for you.

As a Business Management Senior Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions group, you will serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions Globally and Regional Heads, driving business strategy, financial planning, and critical analytics. You will coordinate across multiple functions to deliver insights that inform leadership decisions, support strategic initiatives, and ensure operational excellence. This role offers you the chance to shape how the Mergers and Acquisitions business grows, competes, and operates — sitting alongside the banking team and engaging directly with senior stakeholders every day.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic analytics and deliver data-driven insights that inform management decision-making and support business growth
  • Lead and support strategic business projects in partnership with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue, market share, and wallet growth objectives
  • Develop and manage financial budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts, revenue reconciliation, and expense management processes
  • Oversee pipeline management, projections, and variance analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Analyze market statistics, trends, competitive landscape, and deals done away to identify areas of strategic opportunity
  • Build and deliver executive-level presentations, business reviews, and ad hoc analyses for senior leadership
  • Manage headcount planning, organizational structure optimization, evaluation processes, and productivity reporting
  • Represent the business on cross-functional deliverables including regulatory workstreams, technology initiatives, and strategic projects
  • Automate reporting processes and develop scalable analytics solutions to drive efficiency across the team
  • Coordinate with global support areas including Product Controllers, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Risk, and Human Resources

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3 years of relevant experience in business management, COO, CAO, investment banking, or similar functions
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to distill large datasets into clear, concise outputs
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to create visually compelling presentations for senior audiences
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to synthesize results for diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple functional teams and manage competing priorities

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience with Dealogic or similar deal analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with investment banking products and workflows
  • Knowledge of Mergers and Acquisitions markets, trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Experience managing or influencing cross-functional projects in a matrixed environment
