YOUR ROLE

Based in Truganina, VIC and reporting to the Business Controlling Manager – Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL), this Business Analyst role provides critical financial, analytical and governance support to our national FVL operations.

You’ll work closely with operations, State Managers, Commercial teams and Finance to deliver high-quality insights that support performance improvement, cost control and delivery of the FVL business plan.

This is a commercially focused role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance and operations within a complex logistics and supply chain environment.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial and operational reports, dashboards and KPI analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes including variance analysis, journal support and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide revenue leakage analysis, billing accuracy checks and cost driver reviews to ensure compliance with CEVA Business Rules.
  • Maintain and reconcile property portfolio data, supporting utilisation reporting and property cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Deliver clear financial driver reporting to operational leaders, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support contract renewals and scope changes by preparing cost models, historical analysis and profitability insights.
  • Contribute to reporting standardisation and small-scale process improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance and Operations to ensure transparency, accuracy and governance.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate is analytically strong, commercially curious and confident engaging with operational stakeholders. You’ll also have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience interpreting financial reports, KPIs and cost drivers within logistics and supply chain or transport operations.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Confidence building relationships across operational and finance teams.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and governance.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlik or Tableau will be highly regarded.
