Position Title: Finance Business Analyst
Location: Pune
The Business Analyst reports directly to the IMEA Finance Business Partner and indirectly to the regional General Manager.
The primary objective of the job holder is to support the IMEA region, contributing to the development and implementation of overall business strategy and the day-to-day operations of the business.
This role also ensures the optimization of business financial results by proactively monitoring financial trends, performance metrics and responding with value-added analysis to facilitate decision making. This role is supporting the International Growth Market organization, which is active across all three Global Business Units of H.B. Fuller.
Primary Responsibilities:
Finance Business Partnering (55%)
Weekly validation of account and market mappings for all business units within IMEA to ensure accurate reporting by GSMs, AMs, SAMs, ISAMs, and BDMs.
First contact point for the local sales team to answer or redirect any financial questions on sales, contribution or gross margin.
Support the local management in understanding, reviewing and optimizing the P&L.
Provide ongoing support to the commercial team through:
BI tool training and troubleshooting.
Manual report generation from BI to enhance visibility of business performance.
Preparation of presentations for key business updates.
Calculate monthly sales commissions for external agents and annual compensation reports across the IMEA region.
Perform variance analysis in collaboration with the commercial team to identify performance gaps and support action planning. To mention margin analysis and positive pricing as examples.
Assist with in-depth sales analysis and provide monthly forecasting support when needed, based on business performance trends.
Forecasting & Budgeting (25%)
Assist in the financial outlook process during Feb/May/Aug:
Prepare a consolidated master file with actuals by market segment.
Challenge the commercial team to give a realistic forecast that ensures year-over-year growth.
Gather inputs from individual GSMs and consolidate for regional reporting
Lead the creation of customer-level budgets:
Ensure all customer accounts are included.
Validate market accuracy and adjust allocations where necessary.
Ad Hoc Operational Support (15%)
Raise and manage correction and extension tickets in Ivanti and Power BI to support accurate invoicing and system data integrity.
Coordinate cross-functional approvals with MDM, Customer Service, Finance, Tax, and Credit teams for changes in SAP.
Support Customer Service team with:
Customer and product extensions
Address modifications and commodity code updates.
Review and approve new customer account creation requests.
Projects (5%)
“Conduct biweekly follow-ups with the commercial team to ensure progress and alignment with project objectives and targets.”.
Minimum Requirements
BA or BS degree required with strong background in finance / business management
3+ years of experience in finance or accounting (FP&A. Accounting, Business Analyst, Corporate Finance, Commercial Finance, Audit, Financial Consulting, etc.)
Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools, notably, Excel and Power BI.
International experience, either through studying abroad or working experience
Individual accountability for results
Model collaboration and commitment, also managing remote relationships effectively
Seeking solutions that improve process effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
Anticipating and responding to changes in financial trends proactively
Driver’s license to be able to regularly visit office and production facilities within the region.
